Training
The graphic, logical, menus are familiar to a color separator, but it takes only two days to train anyone from the field of photography, design, Photoshop operation, or any print position to be able to make a formula for any situation. You are not dependent on us after that comprehensive training.
An analogy is the provision of chefs’ tools. You are not just learning fixed formulas, needing to be refreshed in the future. You are learning how to make any formula for any situation. With ICISS you have complete freedom, and no ongoing training/consultancy fees.
Day to day operation
You will have saved special-color defaults that can be used immediately, as simply as CMYK.
New situations
It takes a minute to establish the ideal inks for a process, batch of work, or individual job. It takes an operator between six and twenty minutes to make a new script / ICC profile for any “new” set of inks.
If you sell a proprietary formula, you sell on price, which someone else can offer in your market. When you create a formula especially for your customer, you sell unique added value.
